I made this 3D quilled doll as a birthday present for a young girl that I know. But I think that I’m going to made one for myself too…lol This is a hybrid doll. Part of it is quilled and part of it is not. The skirt, for instance, I made out of cardstock. Originally, it was white, but I sprayed it with my homemade glimmer mist, which I changed by adding a few drops of red acrylic paint. Since the paint was very diluted, the end result was a salmon pinkish color.
I used the same cardstock for making the brim of the hat.
The rest of the doll was hand quilled. I added some ribbon bows as the perfect finishing touch. When the doll was complete I sprayed several times with clear homemade glimmer mist.

It's beautiful! At first glance, I would have mistaken it for a doll wearing a Filipiniana dress just like the Filipiniana Barbie doll editions i saw years ago at a mall here in our country. WOW!!!
